Usolec Company was founded by Dawn Hightree to incorporate sustainable thinking into all aspects of community life, from environmental strategies to social care. Our programs promote accountability and sustainability awareness at every level. We focus on sustainability consulting and project management, climate action and green development, housing-first program design and outreach support, as well as community engagement and education. We believe that environmental wellness and human wellness are interconnected; addressing homelessness, supporting mental health, and creating local jobs are essential to climate resilience, because sustainability means everyone belongs.

Living with Dignity Program
The Living with Dignity Program provides compassionate, low-barrier outreach for unhoused individuals — promoting housing-first solutions and sustainable pathways to recovery.
The Living with Dignity Program embodies USOLEC’s belief that sustainability begins with compassion.
It serves unhoused community members through direct outreach, resource coordination, and peer-led support, and other initiatives.
Our long-term vision is to expand this work into a no-barrier housing and day respite system that provides not only safety but dignity — housing, hygiene, healthcare, and hope.
